About the Author

Shannon M. Melde is the author of Always With You, a heartfelt spiritual story written in honor of her daughter, Maddie. After losing Maddie to suicide at the age of fourteen, Shannon began writing in 2023 as a way to keep her daughter’s memory alive and bring comfort to other families who have experienced loss.

Shannon lives in Scottsdale, Arizona, and is the owner of Sugar and Chip AZ, a home cookie bakery based in Scottsdale. Her creative background in baking connects naturally to her writing, where love, memory, and personal expression come together in a deeply meaningful way. Outside of writing, she enjoys baking, cooking, golf, and listening to music of all kinds.

Through Always With You, Shannon hopes readers will feel comfort, hope, and the powerful reassurance that their loved one is still with them. She would love to continue Maddie’s story in a series one day, allowing Maddie’s journey in Heaven to keep bringing healing to others.
